The long term garden ornament was loaded onto a truck this morning for its 1500 km journey to a cousin in law who is a Land Rover fan looking for another project.
It has spent 12 years here giving me the stink eye for the lack of any work on it at all. No more...
But am I less Oppo without it?

Well you now have more free time, so that means more time for oppo!

Everyone is less Oppo. No one is enough Oppo. It’s gatekeeping all the way down.

Yes. And it’s a 2 door alright. But not new or a coupe. And it runs...

You willingly got rid of a 3 door RR classic. You’re dead to me. GOOD DAY SIR.

Giving up a car you can’t work on to let it go on to some one who can, makes you more Oppo. (Telling this to myself as I give up my eaten 26 year old Mitsubishi, for a modern BMW)

Is he going to stuff a 400hp V8 innit and sell it for big $$ as a ltd edition?

Even the truck driver thought I was mad. “Do you know how much these things are worth when restored? One just went in Melbourne for eighty grand, mate!!”. To which my response was “But how much time, money and effort did it take to get it there given this one is worth less than a grand just as it sits?”.
Its new owner is family so it’s not truly lost to me yet...

Highly unlikely...he is a Land Rover fan, not Land Rover!
